This is very interesting! I work at a driving school and we receive big amounts of cash from customers from different ethnic backgrounds, yet I have never seen people from certain middle Eastern, or Asian countries count their money like that. I believe once they decide to learn to drive in California its because they've adapted to the way of life in California and I guess dealing with money is one of the very first things they change.

Wow, thats how my parents count cash (the first way shown)! but interestingly, I count cash the "American" way as shown last. Also, being a cashier at Target, I have noticed some of these different ways of counting money, especially from people of immigrant backgrounds such as older people or recently immigrated people who speak little english.
Wow. Crazy. You never really think about how people might count their money differently in other countries. I guess I always assumed that everybody all did it the same way. Very interesting.
I've actually noticed some of these different ways of counting money when I go to different shops, but I never really thought about it in terms of certain countries counting a certain way. Personally, like many others I'm sure, I count the American way. Sometimes I lay out all my money just to be safe like they do in Turkey. But other than that I think it would be hard for me to transition to another form of counting money. (And on a sidenote, the whole time I was watching the video I just kept thinking, I hope he doesn't get a paper cut.)
WOW! there are so many ways to count cash, be what amuses me is how accurate are some of those methods. also, when our family goes back to the homeland I have seen bank clarks, store associates, and family memebers count/hand cash out like that as seen in the "india" way of sending out money. at the end it all looks like it take a steady hand and good eye to make sure you are giving out the right sum of money
this video was very interesting. I actually remember going to India and people counting money that way. I never really thought about, but after watching the video I realized that counting money is cultural and who knew that our culture/ society we live in can affect a simple thing as the way we count our money

I count money by laying it out like poker cards, gotta love the benjamin face cards!
