The members of this project are only Ann Medina and Jamie Luong. We are going to cover the negative and positive connotations associated with debit and credit cards. We are also going to have a section on identity theft.

here is a little introduction to debit cards:
• it is a card that provides an alternative payment method to cash for making purchases
• the card is physically like a credit card, but it's functions are more like a check in which funds are withdrawn from the cardholder's bank account or from the remaining balance on the card
• wipe or insert card, transactions are authorized and processed and customer verifies it with a pin or sometimes a signature
• also an atm card for withdrawing cash and a guarantee card
• cash back service that allows withdraw cash with purchase
• deduction from savings or checking account but credit might be spending money one may not have
• accessible for those with bad credit, but are limited to only the existing funds in the account
