Wow. A shortage of coins? I can't imagine the U.S. ever having that problem, and to think that we take all our loose change for granted. It's so fascinating how that one garden used cardboard coins as a replacement and then they just put the value of the coin on it. But I guess if you really think about it, that's really no different from our fiat currency.
